Have we made progress over the last year in determining the role of glucose control in prevention of cardiovascular events in people with Type 2 diabetes? Does the presentation of the data from TECOS and ELIXA add anything to our knowledge of how to prevent CV events in people with Type 2 diabetes? Will the trials scheduled to complete later this year, EMPA-REG OUTCOME and LEADER, provide any new data that will change clinical practice?
